The American actor and singer Gregory Jbara is famous for his portrayal of Garrett Moore in the CBS action drama, Blue Bloods since the final episode of season one.
Gregory Jbara was born on September 28, 1961, in Nankin Township (now Westland), Michigan, U.S. His parents were insurance claims adjuster and an advertising office manager.
Talking about his educational qualifications, Gregory went to Wayne Memorial High School, and later on, joined the University of Michigan for a degree in Communication Studies. But, he changed his college majors to Musical Theatre. From 1982 to 1986, he attended Juilliard School‘s drama division for his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

Back in 2019, Gregory Jbara shocked the whole world with his thinner look following a year of weight loss. He decided to lose 57 lbs of weight on his 57th birthday in September 2018. According to him, he first contacted a nutritionist, Lilly Padilla, to get his and his family’s diet charts. Then, he joined the gym. From Lilly’s diet plan, Gregory lost 80 lbs, while his wife, Julie Jbara dropped 41 lbs. Similarly, their elder son, Zachary Jbara lost 80 lbs and in contrast, their youngest son, Aidan Jbara put on some weight.
Garrett Moore in Blue Bloods
The 59-year-old, Gregory Jbara is quite famous for his role in the American police procedural drama television series, Blue Bloods which aired on CBS since September 2010. He portrays Garrett Moore, the NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.

Following Greg’s body transformation, the executive producers of the show decided to adjust an already decided episode just to show the reason behind his weight loss. The entire episode revolved around obesity and personal health. Season 9 Episode 19, Rectify, showed Garrett going through gastric bypass surgery to lose weight.

The Grounded for Life star Gregory Jbara, 59, married Julie Jbara on December 6, 1997. His wife is a BodyTalk and Parama Practitioner and owner of Innate Health Concepts. She has been working as an Advanced Certified BodyTalk and Parama Practitioner since 2008. As of early 2021, they have already celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary.

Together, the pair has shared two sons: Zachary (born on March 15, 2001) and Aidan (born on April 22, 2005). Zachary is a pilot, blogger, and baseball player and Aidan is currently a junior baseball player playing Junior Varsity Baseball for Pacific Palisades Dolphins.

Gregory was previously married to an American actress, singer, and recording artist, Rebecca Luker from May 1993 to 1996. His ex-wife passed away on December 23, 2020, at age 59 at a hospital in Manhattan after suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) since 2019. There were also rumors of him being involved in an extramarital affair with co-star, Lena Olin (his co-star from the movie, Remember Me).
