Jose Trinidad Marin aka Trino Marin is the ex-husband of American singer-songwriter, Jenni Rivera. Apart from being a former celebrity spouse, he is also known for being the man behind sexual abuse scandals.
Trino Marin was born on February 15, 1964, in Mexico and later moved to the USA with his parents.
Ex-Husband of Jenni Rivera
Jose Trinidad Marin and Jenni Rivera started dating while Jennie was just 15 and Jose was 20. They walked down the aisle in 1984 after dating for a few months.
At the beginning of their relationship, Jose did several odd jobs. But, he later started working as a restaurant manager. He started pressuring Jennie to leave college and stay at home with their children. Due to this reason, their relationship got worse and Marin resorted to physical violence.
Eventually, the pair decided to part ways in 1992.
Shares Three Kids with Jenni Rivera
With his ex-wife, Jenni Rivera, Jose Marin Rivera shares three kids: Janney, Jacquelin Melina, and Michael Marin Rivera.

Molested His Daughters and Sister-In-Law
Jose Trinidad Marin is not only known for being the ex-spouse of the singer but he made news after sexually abusing his own daughters and sister-in-law.
In 1997, Jenni Rivera’s sister, Rosie Rivera confessed about Jose’s sexual assault on her and his own daughter, Chiquis. Later, it was discovered that he had molested his second daughter, Jacqie, as well.
Rivera lodged a complaint against him but he fled though he was ordered to appear before the court. Despite his fleeing, he was arrested in April 2006.
While talking with Univision, Rosie revealed how she was abused by her sister’s husband for the first time.
Chiquis and I were playing Barbies, and he came in. He asked her to go out and asked me if I wanted to play, “Let’s play love games,” and brought a quilt. He began to kiss my neck and touch where no one had touched me.
Chiquis also had a similar experience!
We were coming from the beach and when I went to the bathroom to bathe and get the sand out, he came in and placed me naked between his legs. There it happened for the first time.
A few close sources revealed that he once molested his staff in the restaurant and was fired from his job.
Trial of Jose Trinidad Marin
In 2007, José Trinidad Marin was found guilty of six to eight serious crimes and was sent to jail for around 31 years.
Nine felonies were found against him including three counts of lewd act upon a child, three counts of oral copulation of a child, one count of continuous sexual assault, and one count of aggravated sexual assault.
Chiquis and Rosie Forgave Him
Jose’s eldest daughter, Chiquis, whom he had abused from 8 to 12 years, has already forgiven him.
I would just like to tell my father that I love him and I forgive him. He may not think that I love him, but I do.
Jose’s sister-in-law has also forgiven him!
People think that maybe I’m going to be sad or angry. God has already given me justice, I have already forgiven that man and if the judge or someone decides that he should be released from jail, it doesn’t hurt me.
Jenni Rivera Lost Her Life in a Plane Crash
Jenni Rivera lost her life on December 9, 2012, in a plane crash near Monterrey, Mexico, just minutes after the takeoff. Six other people lost her life in the crash instantly. However, the reason for the crash still remains a mystery.
Jenni was buried at All Souls Cemetery in her hometown in Long Island.
Relationship with Daughters
Even after Jose’s assaults, his daughters have maintained a good relationship with him. In Chiquis’ marriage, her father made a phone call from prison.
