Lost His Mother in a Plane Crash
On December 9, 2012, his mother died at the age of 43 in a plane crash. It crashed near Iturbide, Nuevo Leon while she was flying to Toluca in Learjet 25. She was returning from Monterrey Arena after a concert. The accident was likely caused by the loss of control of the aircraft.
Father Jailed for 31 years
His dad, Jose Trinidad Marin was sentenced to prison for around 31 years in 2007. He was charged with eight felonies; one count of aggravated sexual assault, one count of continuous sexual assault, three counts of oral copulation of a child, and three counts of lewd act upon a child.
Has a Daughter
The 30-year-old Michael Marin Rivera has a daughter named Luna Amira Marin Ibarra who was born on August 28, 2012. Michael shared his daughter along with his longtime partner, Drea.
Jenni officiated the news of his granddaughter’s birth through her Twitter!

Arrested for Vandalism
Jenni Rivera’s son was arrested for vandalism on February 21, 2013, at around 3 am in Washington Avenue, Miami Beach.
He got arrested after he was spotted tagging a sign with a marker and placing a sticker on another sign. He was later released on a $1,000 bond.
Back in 2010, he was arrested for a molestation case. He pled guilty to sex with a minor. At that time the girl was 16 and he was 19.
