During an interview with her alma mater, she revealed how she used stories to make her life seem bigger.

I am in love with stories. I’m an avid reader and enjoy taking pieces of life stories from anyone who is willing to share them. Growing up in the small city of Ladue, Missouri I used stories as an escape at times to make the world I lived in seem a little bigger. Since there were no film classes at my high school or great programs in my area, I had to become creative in the ways I would teach myself this medium.

Buck, who appeared in Marshall’s Miracle as Chelsea, began acting when she was a seventh grader. She took acting lessons for four years to “figure out what it’s like on the other side.”

Doing this gave me a new lens into the world of directing and how important it is to try any and all positions that may interest you.

Trudy reveals how acting gave her a new direction in life.

As already mentioned, she graduated from the USC Cinematic Arts division. But her major wasn’t acting! The course she took was directing intensive!

After four years of marriage, the pair welcomed twin sons:  Blake Andrew & Wyatt Joseph, on April 26, 2018. As of now, the family of six is leading a very happy life.

Joe was previously married to Trudy’s mom Ann Archambault Buck since January 23, 1993. However, in 2011, after 18 years of marriage, they decided to separate.

Father’s Divorce and Remarriage!

When Joe and Ann divorced, Joe didn’t know how to tell his kids about their decision. He was worried he would distant himself from Trudy and Natalie.

They were old enough to get it all, they were 13 and 10. It was the hardest conversation I’ve ever had in my life, when you have to sit down and tell these two beings that you love, would lay down your life for, that you’re making this gigantic change and mom and dad won’t be together anymore.

Joe Buck on telling his kids about his divorce.

During his talk with fellow host, Oliver Hudson, on their podcast, Daddy Issues, he revealed how hard it was for him to tell his kids about getting married the second time.

They will tell you that it was hard for me to tell them that I was going to get married because I feel like they felt they were losing their place with me even more and somebody was replacing their mom.

Though it was hard for him, Michelle was extraordinary. She knew when to step in and step back.

Michelle was unbelievable throughout this whole thing. She learned from her own stepdad. Being a stepparent is knowing when to step in, when to step back, when to step up, when to step out. That’s how he went about it, and that’s how she went about it. She never forced herself on (the girls). She was not any part of any reason why I wasn’t with their mom, which was a huge benefit.

Joe talks about Michelle’s bonding with his kids.

Good Bonding with Step-mom and Step-brothers

Trudy Buck and her sister, Natalie Buck have maintained a good relationship with their step-mom, Michelle Beisner Buck. But, it wasn’t always the same.

Not to this point (until Blake and Wyatt were born). I remember Trudy saying, ‘This is about Michelle, you don’t want more kids. This is about Michelle.’

Joe reveals what it took his daughters to accept Michelle.

Joe was worried they wouldn’t accept Michelle but all changed after he had twins.

The minute those boys popped into the world it was like they wanted to eat ’em they couldn’t get enough of ’em. Now were all together and it’s been the biggest silver lining of all of this and it’s brought our entire family closer than it’s ever been.

Trudy and Natalie also have a great relationship with their step-brothers. They developed a great bonding as soon as the twins were born.

I feel like what I put in to raising the girls, I’m getting back now, especially with the way they are with my boys. I have never had more joy, or something bring me to the verge of tears for the right reasons, than watching my basically 2-year old sons grabbing my daughters by their hands and walking them somewhere and sitting down with them and just being with them. It’s beautiful.

Well, whatever happens, happens for the best!
